Panama here we come!

Sarah and I (David) are officially heading to Panama this summer! I just booked the flights and am now far too excited for a trip that is still two months away. We are leaving on May 6 and won’t be home until the first week of September! Sarah and I haven’t been on a trip of this length for a few years now so it is about time.

Our main destination is the Lost and Found Lodge Eco Resort located within the Fortuna Cloud Forest an hour north from the city of David (yes, the irony). And yes, it is actually in the jungle. Check it out on google maps! We are going to be volunteering at the lodge for most of our trip, helping out with whatever they need and learning how to run a hostel. That, and practicing Spanish, of course.

The hostel is actually internet free and I am looking forward to being “disconnected” for the entire summer, but we shall throw up some posts when we periodically head into David (that’s going to take some getting used to) and tell of our adventures. Sarah has already been researching all the poisonous snakes in the area. Back to trying to make time go faster.

  1. This sounds incredible! I’m looking forward to reading about your adventure. It sounds like so much fun, but I’d also be looking up all the snakes and other creepy crawlies that live in the jungle!

  2. I wish you good luck for your trip and I’m looking forward to you adventure diary like Christina. Where did you find your hostel? I’ve been looking on sites like http://www.trivago.ca since weeks and can’t find a good one near to the Forest. So I’m happy that I’ve found your blog :)
